THANKS TO THE COLOURFUL DAYS 2024, THOUSANDS OF DREAMS TURNED INTO REALITY!
Through this impactful initiative that took place from Nov 20th to Dec 2nd 2024, Caran d’Ache is proud to have provided over 8,000 girls with vital educational support. This initiative targeted Algeria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Niger, Pakistan, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Primary impact programme includes provision of essential materials such as school supplies, uniforms, and school bags, helping refugee families ease the burden of education costs and inspiring them to enrol their daughters in school. Through its support of Primary Impact, Caran d’Ache enables better opportunities for these girls.
TRANSFORMING CHALLENGES INTO OPPORTUNITIES
Education is a catalyst for change, unlocking potential and driving global progress. Yet, for millions of refugee children, access to quality education remains an elusive dream, particularly for girls who face systemic inequalities and cultural barriers. From the cost of schooling to inadequate facilities, the obstacles are numerous. Girls are disproportionately affected, often encumbered with household responsibilities, or deterred by unsafe or ill-equipped schools. The four-year UNHCR initiative is dedicated to enrolling and retaining 500,000 refugee children in primary education across 26 countries, with a special focus on marginalized groups.
CARAN D’ACHE: A COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION AND TRANSMISSION
Caran d’Ache has championed education and transmission for over a century. Through the Colourful Days initiative, the Maison brings the joy of artistic expression to life while addressing pressing global challenges. This milestone reinforces our shared belief in the transformative power of education and highlights the meaningful difference we can make when art, passion, and purpose come together.
Thanks to your support during the Colourful Days, refugee girls are not just able to go to school—they are daring to dream of brighter futures.
