Adopting an approach focussing on perspective, modification and imagination, twenty students from HEAD Geneva have created different illustrations based on a theme that has inspired so many artists: “the landscape”.
These works were created as part of a workshop entitled “Paysages traversés, paysages contemplés, paysages dessinés” (landscapes crossed, landscapes contemplated, landscapes drawn) hosted by the French illustrator, Paul Lannes. The students were encouraged to question the notion of landscape, so dear to the tradition of Swiss painting. The landscape thus became the focus of the graphic research while the notions of strolling, walking and wandering became a device for storytelling or linking the different works created.
The students of HEAD created these works using Luminance 6901®, Museum Aquarelle, Pablo® and Supracolor® Soft Aquarelle colour pencils, Technalo & Grafcube RGB graphite pencils and Neocolor® II Aquarelle wax pastels.
The “Paysages traversés…” exhibition is on show at the Espace Créatif Caran d’Ache at Plateforme 10 from 23 September to 20 October 2022.
